If you read yesterday’s post, you saw the picture of the dining hall at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, WI. A fireplace anchors each end of the hall. Above the fireplace at the opposite end is a symbol of the camp’s mission from the beginning. While this may not be the actual log, it’s a constant reminder that 69 years ago, several men knelt to pray, asking God’s favor as they sought to purchase land and establish a camp on that site. Through the prayers of many, Lutherdale and other Christian camps continue their ministry of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to young people and adults.
