Here in Texas, we joke about how quickly the weather changes. Last week, we literally had the AC on one day and heat the next. We’ve been known to enjoy all four seasons, usually in the same week. So I shouldn’t have been surprised when I went out to get the paper on Tuesday and realized that fall had arrived. Those leaves weren’t there on Monday! But what a beautiful scene it was. And I confess I needlessly checked the mail several times that day, just so I could shuffle through the leaves. Love that sound!
